Abstract
- Data from National Health Service hospitals are used to assess the extent to which shock, or a single jarring incident, impacts employees' decisions to quit. The data highlight how conventional research methods may lead to an inaccurate portrayal of employee turnover; flaws are identified and alternative processes are described.
