Abstract
- The twin NASA Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory spacecraft set for launch as early as April 2006 should give researchers their first views, in three dimensions, of the massive solar storms known as coronal mass ejections as they strike Earth. Each observatory would carry a total of 13 instruments into heliocentric orbits ahead of and behind Earth, where they would make simultaneous observations of the Sun from different perspectives.
