Abstract
- The cDNA coding for the murine interleukin-9 (IL-9) receptor was expressed in COS cells and characterized. Analysis of the 52-kDa protein showed the presence of a typical membrane-spanning domain and a putative signal peptide. Sequence analysis showed that the IL-9 receptor is highly similar to the hematopoietin receptor superfamily. Furthermore, this receptor is expressed in both membrane-bound and soluble forms.
