Abstract
- An analysis of hot-electron bolometer devices used in low noise heterodyne mixing at frequencies up to 2.5 THz is presented. It is concluded that in the current generation of hot electron bolometer devices the resistive transition and the current-voltage characteristics contain contributions, which should be carefully distinguished from one, which is relevant for understanding the mixing properties.
