Abstract: The genetic diversity of Sitobion avenae in Chile with microsatellites, considering the impact of reproductive mode, interaction with host plants and introduction on aphid population structure is examined. The identity of the genotypes found in Chile is compared with that of clones that were monitored in earlier surveys of Sitobion avenae populations in Western Europe.
