Abstract
- A study was conducted to obtain a bacteriological profile of fresh, frozen and spoiled white amur flesh as well as the storage conditions affecting the microbiological quality of these species. Acinetobacter, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, Escherichia, Micrococcus, Moraxella, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus were identified in the samples. It was shown that 200 micrograms/ml sodium hypochlorite dip and four degrees centigrade storage temperature are effective in controlling the coliforms.
