U.S. may boost military aid to Lebanon

Abstract

The U.S. might increase its military training funds for Lebanon so as to strengthen the Beirut government in the wake of Syria's withdrawal. The military aid will start after the general elections in June 2005 and priority will be given to provide the Lebanese Army with new arms and equipment to replace old and obsolete ones.
