Abstract
- The solvation dynamics of 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2methyl-6(p-dimethylaminostyryl) 4H-pyran (DCM) inside a dipalmitoyl-phosphatidyaholine (DPPC) entrapped sodium silicate sol-gel matrix is different from that in DPPC lipid vesicles in bulk water or DMPC entrapped in a tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) derived sol-gel matrix. The anisotropy decay of DCM in DPPC vesicles in bulk water and sol-gel glass is strongly biexponential.
