Abstract

Physicians should participate in setting up and managing hospital information systems (IS) that track patient care. Doctors' resistance to involvement stems from factors including fear of change, indifference and lack of access to the system. These objections can be modified by persuading doctors to collaborate in selection and development of the information system.
