President picks shady character as envoy

There is growing criticism over the appointment of FSB Col. Gen. Anatoly Safonov as Russian President's special representative for international cooperation fighting terrorism and trans border organized crime. The reason for the criticism is that the General had botched assignments that he received from former Russian President Boris Yeasting and Prime Minster Chernomyrdin.
