Abstract
- A cross-sectional study was conducted in order to evaluate 600 Ugandan children with sickle cell disease and their mothers for factors associated with human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) seropositivity. HHV-8 infection in Ugandan children was associated with lower socioeconomic status and using surface water.
