A new zero voltage and zero current power-switching technique

This paper covers the work done by the authors on a new converter topology whose advantage is that the power switching occurs at both zero current and zero voltage, giving it major advantages over the present state of the art. We describe in detail the application of this new toplogy to both high-and low-output voltage converters. Designs details and test results are given, together with a full analysis of the operation of the converters.
