Abstract

An effective dispersion method for helical polyacetylene (PA) fibers is developed using a nonionic surfactant, C12E6. The helical fibrillar structures of extracted single fibers are monitored using atomic force microscopy (AFM) imaging and the current-voltage characteristics if iodine-doped helical Pa fibers are investigated.
