Abstract

A report presents the findings on the poisoning behavior of BH3.THF (THF = tetrahydrofuran) and other related group 13 hydride species with heterogeneous transition metal catalysts used for the dehydrocoupling of Me2-NH.BH3.The results obtained suggest that although the poisoning behavior is not a universal phenomenon, the observation that such boron layers are formed needs to be considered when boron reagents are used for the generation of metal colloids.
