Northrop weighs EADS alliance to seek contract

Northrop Grumman Corp. of the United States is in joint venture negotiations with EADS N.V. of the Netherlands in hopes of battling Boeing Co. for a multibillion dollar United States government aerial-refueling planes contract. The defense contractors met to shortlist four possible sites in the United States for a major new operation.
