Abstract

The central argument for reining in lawsuits and capping jury awards is that doing so would keep business costs down, help the economy grow, and reduce the economic harm caused by excess litigation. Hence, it is suggested that the lawmakers should fill the information gap so that empty claims of tart reforms dissolve into supposition, estimation, and ideology.
