Abstract

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soybean futures traded briefly at $6.66 a bushel on March 11, 2005, the highest level in nearly eight months. The futures are well above their contract low of $5.01 set on February 4, 2005 by the CBOT, due to a drought in Brazil that resulted in less production of soybeans.
