Intranet makes way: U.S. Navy incorporates adjustments while continuing on a steady course

The Information Strike Force (ISF), an industry team led by Electronic Data Systems Corporation, was awarded the Navy/Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) contract by the Navy in October 2000. The NMCI offers the services in a single network that is easier to manage and secure as well as enables military personnel to focus on their defense mission rather than information technology acquisition and service.
