Abstract

The thermalization of nonequilibrium electrons and phonons is investigated theoretically by using a semiclassical description of the Boltzmann equations. By utilizing a discretization scheme, the coupled nonlinear Boltzmann equations for the electron-phonon system are directly solved numerically.
