Abstract: The study of crystal growth and spectroscopic characteristics of Tm(super 3+): GdAl3(BO3)4 crystal is reported. The spectroscopic parameters such as intensity parameters, oscillator strengths, radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetime as well as branching ratios based on the Judd-Ofelt (J-O) theory are presented.
