International financial rescues and debtor-country moral hazard

The effects of International Monetary Fund's two directives namely New Arrangements to Borrow (NAB) and the Supplemental Reserve Facility (SRF) on the attitudes of the debtor nations are discussed. The loans granted by IMF in international financial crisis situation are also discussed. In view of the potential hazards of lending in such a situation, certain control methods are suggested.
