Self-care strategies and sources of information for HIV/AIDS symptom management

The category schemes of self-care strategies and sources of information for symptom management reported by HIV-positive individuals are identified. The eight categories of the self-care strategies identified showed that people with HIV-AIDS seek the help of medications, and follow a wide array of other self-developed or self-taught non-pharmaceutical strategies to allay their symptoms.
