Structural and optical characterization of porous anodic aluminium oxide

Abstract
- The porous aluminum oxide obtained by anodization of thin aluminum films, is characterized by using spectroscopic ellipsometry and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) experiments. A nearly complete transformation from aluminum to aluminum oxide, is showed by the comparison of x-ray diffraction spectra obtained before and after anodization.
