Abstract
- Marvin Lipofsky schooled in the techniques of blowing glass as a member of the legendary Harvey Littleton's first glass course at the U niversity of Wisconsin, Madison and explored many forms in his artistic development, achieving a style that defines him as a major abstractionist. His pivotal role is to take glass from the functional and decorative realm into the sculptural realm, fashioning objects that can look positively primordial.
