Intermodular communication in modular polyketide synthases: Structural and mutational analysis of linker mediated protein-protein recognition

Antiparallel helical interactions between intermodular linkers play an important role in chain transfer of a growing polyketide chain. The linker regions are subjected to structural and mutational analysis in order to understand the mechanism of protein-protein recognition.
