Abstract

The Anglo-Persian Oil Company in 1920s, pursued an active and deliberate policy aimed at securing Bakhtiyari khans' financial dependence by devising and employing aggressive tactics. The Iranian government had always rejected and refused to recognize the legitimacy of the agreement between the Khans and the Company.
