Atom transfer radical polymerization from cellulose fibers at ambient temperature

Abstract: The atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of methyl acrylate from initiators immobilized on cellulose fibers is reported. It is concluded that cellulose fibers are grafted was achieved with PMA using ATRP, mediated by tris(2-(dimethylamino)ethyl)amine) (Me6-TREN) and Cu(I)Br.
