Abstract

Neutron diffraction, magnetic measurements and Mossbauer spectroscopy were used for examining the structural and magnetic properties of the Verwey transition in Fe(sub 3-delta)O4 nanoparticle. The increase in the cation vacancy decreased the lattice parameter and the Verwey transition temperature.
