Abstract

The study describes experiments exploring the role of the redox-inactive counterion in hybrid redox polyether molten salts. As these materials are undiluted, they intrinsically contain 'solvent-separated ion pairs', where the 'solvent' is the polyether tail attached to the redox moiety.
