Asymmetric synthesis of axially chiral biaryls by nickel-catalyzed grignard cross-coupling of dibenzothiophenes

A full description of catalytic asymmetric Grignard cross-coupling and its reaction of 1,9-disubstituted dibenzothiophenes and dinaphthothiophene are reported. The cross-coupling products are converted into useful axially chiral compounds.
