Enzyme electrokinetics: electrochemical studies of the anaerobic interconversions between active and inactive states of Allochromatium vinbosum [NiFe]-hydrogenase

An investigation was conducted on the cycling between active and inactive states of the caralytic center of [NiFe]-hydrogenase from allochromatium vinosum by dynamic electrochemical techniques. The experiments exploit the remarkable electrocatalytic activity of AvH2ase and the control over the potential dimension that is acquired with protein film voltammetry.
