Abstract

The effect of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) on the nitric oxide (NO)-pathway in the human fetoplacental circulation in preeclampsia and control pregnancies is examined. The NO-mediated effects are increased by NAC in the fetoplacental circulation in preeclamptic placentas and in healthy control placentas.
