Abstract: Contingency management treatments of substance abuse typically operate by making positive incentives available contingent upon drug abstinence however like all treatments, contingency management treatments are not effective for all individuals. The results indicates that increasing the proportion of individuals who successfully contact the programmed incentives for drug abstinence could increase the proportion of individuals successfully treated with contingency management.
