Abstract: The equilibria and the kinetics of the intercalation of ethidium bromide into poly(A).poly(U) are studied in aqueous solution by spectrophotometry, spectrofluorimetry, and stopped-flow techniques. The behavior of the investigated RNA/ethidium system is then compared with of the DNAs/ethidium systems.
