Physical activity and levels of inactivity in adolescent females ages 11-16 years in the United Arab Emirates

The patterns of physical activity and the levels of inactivity in 58 adolescent females between the ages of 11 and 16 years in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are investigated. The low levels of physical activity observed in adolescent females of UAE could be attributed to culture, weather and social restrictions and the lack of physical activity may be partly responsible for increasing the incidences of obesity.
