Abstract

HERA is a high-energy storage-ring collider designed to study collision between 820-GeV protons and 30-GeV electrons. The collider, which has a 314-GeV center-of-mass energy needed for momentum transfer in inelastic lepton scattering, can be used to analyze the gluon and quark structure of hadrons.
