Managing personnel: the human factor

Operating in a distributed computing environment calls for new personnel management strategies. While experience has traditionally been favored as a prime qualification among job applicants, aptitude seems to be a more important trait for jobs. In other words, technical and vocational training is no longer as crucial as flair for business, flexibility, adaptability and versatility.
