Abstract
- Fetal rhesus monkey model is used for examining the simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) infection of hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and stromal cells that will help in the characterization of the bone marrow abnormalities in SIV-infected animals in vivo. The results confirm that SIV can infect the bone marrow stromal cells.
