Crystal structures of the catalytic domains of pseudouridine synthases RluC and RluD from Escherichia coli

The crystal structures of the catalytic domain of RluC, and full-length RluD are presented. The models of these homologous enzymes are discussed, and the significant differences in substrate binding by different pseudouridine syntheses are suggested.
