Ectopic parathyroid adenoma localized with sestamibi SPECT and image-fused computed tomography

The surgical treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism produces a substantial diagnostic challenge, because it is related to whole neck exploration and can result for infection. The clinical laboratory measurements for the raised plasma corrected calcium, with intact parathyroid hormone and ionized calcium levels of an effected patient are illustrated.
