Abstract
- The study presents a quantum theory for the noise of optical pulses in actively mode-locked lasers with phase modulation and/or group velocity dispersion. It is useful for understanding the noise of chirped optical pulses in mode-locked lasers and is relevant to semiconductor mode-locked lasers.
