Muscle metabolic function, exercise performance, and weight gain

A study, which would determine the relationship of muscle metabolism to exercise performance and that of exercise performance to the rate of weight gain, is discussed. The findings suggest that muscle anaerobic metabolism influence strength, independent of muscle size, and that aerobic fitness at the muscle and whole body levels and strength influence exercise performance.
