Americans have roughly equal views of two major parties: Democrats still lead in Congressional race

The latest Gallup survey indicates that a majority of Americans have favorable views for both the republican and democratic parties. The public views the republicans able to protect the country from terrorism and military threat but do not consider them capable of keeping the country prosperous.
