The SKS-45 has been used for the last 50 years by regular and guerrilla armies around the world

The enemy weapon, Samozariadny Karabin Simonova 1945 (SKS-45), was used in large numbers by the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) and the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam (VC) troops. The Soviet SKS and the Chinese Type 56 are described as the two major versions of the SKS.
