Dynamics of an immune response in house sparrows Passer domesticus in relation to time of day, body condition and blood parasite infection

The temporal dynamics of the T-cell mediated response in house sparrows Passer domesticus for the determination of factors contributing to temporal and individual variation in phytohemagglutinin (PHA) response are investigated. The inability of infected individuals with large fluctuations in mass to mount a strong immune response is discussed.
