Abstract
- A shift from ocularcentrism to vision-based metaphors in management and organization studies that reflects a more general pattern across the social sciences provides a basis for metatheoretical analysis. The analysis concludes that ocular metaphors are privileged in organizational discourse in terms of constructs that filter straight through to management thinking and in terms of epistemology and methodology.
