Abstract

The two-way relationship between psalmody and prophecy is discussed. The influence of psalmody in the prophetic books, the future-oriented use of psalmody being evident in the compilation of the psalms and in the Greek translation of the psalter, and the eschatological use of psalmody in the intertestamental period, are examined.
