Writing's on the wall

Despite government promises of better funding for schools, many schools are struggling to maintain staffing levels. In many cases, the most vulnerable and disadvantaged pupils are suffering most, since support staff intended to help such pupils are often the first to lose their jobs when cuts are needed.
