Abstract
- Thomas Walther views his collection of art photographs as resulting from a passionate desire to acquire beautiful objects. Walther tries to express his personality through his collection. The photographs in Walther's collection mostly date from the 1920s and many are European in origin. Walther prefers photographs that are not merely representational but contain an element of abstraction. He regards this abstract quality as the source of the photographs' emotional power.
