Abstract

In order to lower costs in a highly price-sensitive market, cost drivers and ways to tackle them are discussed. Cost drivers are key areas of business where costs may increase, and can be reduced. These are economies of scale, learning, capacity utilization, linkages, vertical integration, timing, interrelationships, discretionary policies and location.
